"a fly line runs through it" - pretty clever huh? ok, clever enough. I'm a fly fisherman and a fly tyer. I thought it would be nice to have a place to talk about that - to share that with those who may be interested. so here it is - the angler's quarter. fishing stories, fly patterns, photos, and links to other sites are among what you'll find here - have fun!

I'm lame - sorry - will put it up soon. I haven't been fishing again since Conor and I tried to fish the muddy Silver Creek torrent - that's just sad folks. I tell you though, it has been so damned hot here that I think I'd get sick if I tried to fish in this stuff. I used to do that - just go out and Smallmouth fish in bathtub warm water in the scorching heat all day long. Not now boy. I will try to go Trout fishing somewhere in the shade of trees and cool water soon and write about it.

I think Chimney Top Creek in the Red River Gorge is my next target. There be big Browns in thar - that from the KY Fish & Wildlife guy who spoke at out local TU chapter a month or so ago. I've been up there once to do a stream improvement project a long time ago - didn't really fish it then. I've heard other stories too. I want to see these trout for myself. I'll let you know.
